MISSION for OUTREACH COORDINATOR
The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for leading and implementing strategies to recruit prospective students into EDvance College's degree programs. Reporting to the Director of Workforce, the Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator plays a key role in expanding awareness of EDvance programs, supporting strong relationships with community organizations and prospective students, and supporting enrollment goals. A core responsibility of this role is to drive a high volume of qualified applicants for selection in the admissions process. This role requires a strong understanding of adult learners, early childhood education pathways, and equitable access to higher education.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Recruitment & Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students interested in EDvance College programs.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct regular recruitment events including presentations, job fairs, partner-hosted sessions, and webinars across California.
- Deliver compelling program overviews tailored to various audiences, including working adults, multilingual students, and early childhood educators.
- Provide responsive support to prospective students through phone, email, text, and drop-in hours, both in-person, and virtually via platforms like Zoom, guiding them through early decision-making steps prior to application submission.
- Track and report prospective student data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive enrollment growth by generating prospective student leads and converting them into applicants through proactive outreach and consistent follow-up; performance will be measured by lead generation.
Outreach & Community Partner Engagement
- Sustain and nurture relationships with community-based organizations, school districts, workforce boards, family child care networks, and employer partners to identify student recruitment opportunities.
- Collaborate with agency partners to host joint information sessions, email and drop off recruitment materials, and ensure accurate representation of program offerings through college outreach efforts.
- Coordinate with Admissions and Workforce team members to align recruitment messaging with program capacity and application timelines.
- Assist in the development and distribution of recruitment materials, presentations, and email campaigns.
- Develop and manage social media engagement for outreach and recruitment purposes to enhance brand visibility, including creating content in alignment with a Director-led engagement plan; all content will be reviewed and approved by the Director.
- Maintain an up-to-date calendar of recruitment events and outreach activities.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Work closely with the Admissions team to ensure smooth handoff of inquiries and warm leads for follow-up and enrollment.
- Coordinate with internal departments to stay informed about program updates, workforce pathway changes, and deadlines.
- Participate in cross-functional planning meetings to support seasonal recruitment and enrollment strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:The minimum education, experience, or other background required to be considered eligible to apply for, or otherwise perform the duties of the position being applied for. Candidates must meet all required qualifications to be eligible for employment.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in education, communications, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in recruitment, outreach, or student advising, preferably with adult learners or first-generation college students.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English to support recruitment of students to the Spanish pathway.
- Excellent public speaking, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple recruitment campaigns and events simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and CRM
- A background check (may include: employment and education verification, criminal records, civil records, professional licenses, credit and sex offender registries, as position requires). - Access to student academic records which may include sensitive student information.
Desired Qualifications:
Factors, experiences, or circumstances that represent additional qualifications supporting fulfillment of the position. Candidates are not required to meet all desired qualifications to be eligible for employment.
- Master's Degree in Education, Student Affairs, or a related field.
- Experience with early childhood education programs or workforce development initiatives.
- Knowledge of early childhood education, community colleges, and workforce programs.
- Familiarity with California Child Development Permit, Head Start, or Title V requirements.
- Willingness to learn, adopt, and grow your skill set using generative AI tools, preferably Google products such as Gemini and NotebookLM.
COMPENSATION
$37.50 - 43.27/hr, $78,000 - $90,000 annualized. To be determined based upon education and experience.
Positions hired at 75% time or higher are eligible for EDvance College's comprehensive benefits package (i.e., medical/dental/vision, 401k and additional peripheral benefits including but not limited to flexible spending accounts, life insurance, etc.).
Eligibility for benefits begins the first day of the month following the date of hire.
