MISSION for PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER
The Partnerships Manager is a vital role at EDvance College, driving the cultivation and maintenance of relationships with local partners to recruit early childhood educators into the EDvance Pathway. This full-time, 12-month position oversees workforce development strategies, supports Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs), and enhances institutional visibility through confident networking, clear communication, and effective coordination. By developing responsive marketing materials and hosting informational sessions during evenings and weekends to accommodate working ECE professionals, the manager ensures equitable access to educational opportunities.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnership Development and Workforce Recruitment
- Establish and maintain partnerships with employers, Family Child Care (FCC) providers, Title V programs, Head Start agencies, and community-based organizations to expand EDvance's workforce pathways and achieve mutual goals.
- Represent EDvance at Local Planning Councils (LPCs), conferences, workforce convenings, and community events to increase visibility and foster collaboration.
- Cultivate and manage partnerships with critical thinking, enhancing brand visibility through the development of marketing materials (e.g., flyers, social media campaigns) that respond to ECE field needs, such as Spanish-language resources for 60% Multilingual Learners (MLLs).
- Develops and supports Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) and Employer Partnerships, cultivating relationships into formal partnerships to expand EDvance Pathways.
- Provide technical assistance to support RAP implementation (e.g., recruitment, mentorship, related training, and on-the-job learning) aligned with requirements set by California Child Development Permit standards and U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) standards.
- Assess recruitment needs through organized data analysis and responding to community input (e.g., 95% prefer upfront tuition), in order to design strategic recruitment plans that meet annual application goals (e.g., 150% increase from 100 to 300 educators in FY 2026).
- Lead and support community-based recruitment efforts by designing and implementing data-informed recruitment plans that respond to field needs and achieve annual application targets (e.g., growing applications from 100 to 300 educators in FY 2026).
- Host and facilitate RAP and program informational sessions-often in partnership with employers and held during evenings or weekends-to ensure accessibility for working educators.
- Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders (e.g., Title V, Head Start) and EDvance staff, ensuring proactive coordination across internal departments on areas such as educational progress, student technology needs, and milestone completion; provide timely updates to relevant teams to support aligned communication and program responsiveness.
- Engage prospective and existing partners and community stakeholders with responsive, culturally relevant communication strategies.
- Develop and distribute recruitment materials, such as flyers, newsletters, and outreach toolkits, and collaborate with the Marketing staff to create multilingual and mission-aligned content (e.g., Spanish-language materials for MLL audiences).
- Tailor outreach and engagement to address community-identified priorities, such as affordability, licensure alignment, and support for multilingual educators.
Strategic Representation and Development Support
- Represent EDvance externally with clear communication at workforce events, strengthening connections to achieve annual recruitment goals.
- Manage workforce development strategies, using tech-savvy tools (e.g., CRM, Zoom) to track partnership engagement, recruitment outcomes and develop responsive marketing materials that highlight RAPs and licensure pathways.
- Provide technical assistance to partners for coordinated RAP implementation, aligning with California Child Development Permit standards to support 85% completion rates.
- Support development work by cultivating relationships with prospective funders to secure resources for equitable ECE pathways, informed by community needs assessments (such as demand for Spanish Pathway), and by providing thorough documentation that demonstrates program progress and impact for grant compliance.
- Share partner and community feedback with internal teams to inform grant development, program design, and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align workforce development strategies with institutional goals and ensure sustained engagement with high-impact partners.
- Present and lead workshops at relevant workforce conferences, sharing insights and best practices from the EDvance programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
The minimum education, experience, or other background required to be considered eligible to apply for, or otherwise perform the duties of the position being applied for. Candidates must meet all required qualifications to be eligible for employment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in partnership development, workforce recruitment, or community engagement, with a focus on education or ECE, with two (2) years leadership or management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to network and build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including employers and community organizations.
- Excellent public speaking, organization, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience using technology platforms for project management, communication, and marketing material development (e.g., CRM, Canva, Google Workspace, Zoom).
- Availability to work evenings and weekends to host informational sessions based on community needs.
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting underrepresented groups in educational or workforce settings.
- A background check (may include: employment and education verification, criminal records, civil records, professional licenses, credit and sex offender registries, as position requires). Desired Qualifications:
Factors, experiences, or circumstances that represent additional qualifications supporting fulfillment of the position. Candidates are not required to meet all desired qualifications to be eligible for employment.
- Master's Degree in Education, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
- Experience with Registered Apprenticeship Programs or early childhood education workforce development.
- Familiarity with California ECE workforce standards, including Child Development Permits or Title V programs.
- Bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, and/or Mandarin to support multilingual partnerships.
- Ability to tolerate change in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent leadership, writing, communication, interpersonal, problem solving, planning, critical thinking, systems thinking, and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in data analysis for recruitment planning and marketing campaign evaluation.
- Willingness to learn, adopt, and grow your skill set using generative AI tools, preferably Google products such as Gemini and NotebookLM.
COMPENSATION
$105,000 - 122,000 annually
Positions hired at 75% time or higher are eligible for EDvance College's comprehensive benefits package (i.e., medical/dental/vision, 401k and additional peripheral benefits including but not limited to flexible spending accounts, life insurance, etc.).
Eligibility for medical/dental/vision benefits begins the first day of the month following the date of hire. Eligibility for 401k plan participation begins the first of the month 60 days following the date of hire.
